Poor Richard Saunders

Like a Biblical character of the Old Testament, it appears that The TANK Vodcast Host and Producer Richard Saunders has lived for hundreds of years!

Skeptic and troublemaker Brian Dunning alerted us to the “Poor Richard’s Almanack“, penned by one Richard Saunders, the pseudonym of none other than the Founding Father of the United States, Benjamin Franklin himself!

Poor Richard’s Almanack was an early meteorological guide, and like today’s weather predictions, it wasn’t always accurate… The Almanack was also a sort of early modern ‘gossip column’ that included tips, social commentary and wise maxims on marriage, diet, society and economy.

It was a best-seller in its day – second only to the Bible!

It seems that in any incarnation, Richard Saunders is a skeptic!
